emigration

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:-)
It seems to me that few people really do think about what it means to emigrate to another country. To understand that it is a very neutral wording - the word comes from the Latin "migrations" - emigration. The term is no evaluation, it is just the outer circumstance of the migratory flow. The reasons that led to such a decision, play no role.
I am an immigrant - Born in Germany, I decided a little more than 15 years now, to move to Austria. And here I am an immigrant, ie, immigrants, local custom and "Zuagraste referred.
Today's Vienna choice I experience once again in close up how the issue of emigration is seen. For me it is very sad to see how something mean to me good luck, is generally seen by many people to say the least.
15 years are a long time.
I have completed almost all of my education after high school.
I know the Austrian law jurisprudence is now better than my home country. The same applies to the geography, geology, politics, the election mode and much more.
The last eight years I lived in the forest district.
Since 2000 I have been working independently, have a company.
I am now so long here that I am an application for citizenship could not be rejected simply.
(as EU citizen I am forced into a situation and was not happy from the beginning to make an asylum application. Stood in my registration form to start in Vienna, however, a hand-written & bdquo ; A "for foreigners, in addition to the already noted on the form along with citizenship, the country of birth, there is no more now)
..
Since the start to be back in Vienna - now - it's a real challenge. This is partly due to the experience that people really in Vienna have an issue with people who are not born here. That runs through all the ages, political orientations, and educational levels. I have been quite wonderful encounters where I was from the beginning I just . But when I think about experiences where, even after my many meetings to be German for my opponent still seems only to be on the forehead, of which most were in Vienna. This is different in the Waldviertel. As was I just checked off, but just because I come from somewhere else. But often people ask me not even know where I come from and why I'm here. As long as I'm here. They look rather whether I adjust to them.
The other is in Vienna with the Vienna surroundings.
Recently at a consultation at the end, quasi-bye - "And how long have you been here?" (Not - "Where are you from, because that is always clear from the my "dialect" her "). "15 years".. "... (Oh) ..." I notice that the lady was expecting that I specify at most a few years. 15 years implies fairly well integrated, and probably not just a phase of life to tell, so much. No further questions.
And today I read in the newspaper (yes, I admit it, the standard, the only daily newspaper read to me "here" - but I also come from a newspaper Eldorado) the announcement about the change in the Vienna underground. There is now no more of a rumbling Viennese train leaves, "when the doors . Close but it says "Please step back" by a friendly Austrian. When I first heard what I pleased. Among other things, by the freshness and liveliness, and because it has listened to "modern". The author, however, objected that the text is the announcement from Berlin (the speaker of the text, however, is a well-known Austrian radio presenter), and that lost with the new announcement is something important from Austria. Not least, however, that the statement is unnecessary, so far, that all know that they lag now needs. The same would apply equally to the friendly advice 'exit in the direction of travel links. " (Yes, I find it easy ;-))
is the author, I think someone who would feel as open-minded, my generation and certainly not xenophobic.
For me it is typical for Vienna.
you forget that in Vienna are many people who are not born here and grew up with the U-Bahn. That a friendly and clear pronunciation, the for all is of course possible in the city of moving people, simply "genius" is. In. Hip. The Zeitgeist. We all are becoming more international. Vienna is a world center. Or not? All the tourists? Immigrants? They should seek their way by luck and chance?
Before I (again) came to Vienna, I have friends there to "forest fourth activist" made for decent test (and with a little regional liquor and wine).
xenophobia is sitting in the head.
I want more kindness from Vienna and "Answer" What If "when it comes to people who are not born here and for whatever reason have decided to move here and here to establish their center of life. Coupled with all their joy, their desire for meaningful work, recognition in the field, etc. etc. We can
learn from each other.
questions of why and how happy can be made in person at any time.
But I'm Anja,
not German.
